WordPress Plugin

WordPress plugin’s are extensions to what can make your website great but sometimes there is just one that you need that you can’t find and you just have to have it. Do you require a custom plugin to be created? If the answer is yes then I might be able to help you.

I have written a number of useful plugins for the open community and I would like to help you out by writing your plugin that you require. I have experience also in creating plugin extensions for WooCommerce.

For WooCommerce I have developed 3 free plugins and 3 premium plugin’s are currently in development. All have different functions that could prove useful in creating a plugin for you.

How does the process go ?

You send me your plugin idea and explain in detail what you hope to have the plugin do for you. I will reply with my notes on what parts of the plugin would work and not with a proposal for you to sign and approve with an upfront fee none-refundable. Once approved I will then start working on your plugin. Once I have completed the plugin and shown a demo site of it in action working 100%, I will then send you an invoice for final payment of all fees.

Why do I have to pay an fee upfront ?

The upfront fee is my cancel fee should you decide to cancel the development on the plugin halfway. This fee is none-refundable and will be stated in on the proposal contract that you sign and return before development on the plugin starts. When you hire me you hire me for my time to work on your project. Time costs money and if at the end you decide not to pay me because you no longer want it, that’s my time gone and leaves me with empty pockets.

Can I sell the plugin afterwards later in the future ?

If you wish to sell the plugin in the future yourself you must state this when submitting your plugin idea. Additional charges will be applied for full copyright on the plugin. This additional charge must be paid with the final payment for the development of the plugin. A minimum requirement of either a link to or a mention about Seb’s Studio must remain somewhere in the plugin.

Can I sell the plugin on WooThemes ?

Only if the plugin is designed to work with WooCommerce as a plugin extension but you would need to be a web developer yourself who understands PHP if you are to give constant support for the plugin. This is required by WooThemes for those who wish to sell plugins on their website. Once you have paid the additional fee (price may vary) to sell the plugin yourself and I have given you the plugin, I’m no longer responsible for supporting the plugin or for any changes WooThemes makes in their WooCommerce plugin that may or may not make the plugin no longer functional.

I don’t want the plugin sold by me or you, will I still be charged extra ?

Yes, the reason for this is so that we have a clear understanding that no one else but the client has the right to use it. Any selling of the plugin in the future will be a breech of contract. This additional charge assures me that we both agree to not sell or distribute the plugin in any way without permission of either parties. This also insures that no details about the plugin will be blogged about on Sebs Studio or any other website by the client.

I need a plugin extension for another plugin, can you do that ?

It depends on the plugin you want an extension on. At the moment the only plugin I have experience writing extensions for is WooCommerce but if you tell me what the plugin extension is for, I will do some research on it.

How long will it take for completion ?

Plugin development varies on the extent of the plugin idea, the amount of code to be written and the functionality of it all. Thorough testing and debugging is required for a plugin to make sure it works on WordPress with it’s latest API documentation so to have a completion date given is not 100% possible.

I need the plugin like… yesterday !

If you need the plugin that quickly I will see what I can do if you make a considerable offer. This would have to be ok with my schedule and I would need constant contact availability with you like instant chat on Skype.

I can’t pay all the fees right away. Can I pay the rest later ?

Absolutely not. You are asking me to develop a plugin which could require a fair amount of hours to code to create your product which I am not just going to hand over to you for half now, half later. If you want the plugin once it’s complete, you need to pay me the full amount. No plugin will be transferred to you until full payment has been established.
